Trade Talks Broke Down Over Chinese Shift on Food - NYTimes.com
To be fair the Chinese have been getting the raw end of our trade deals for years. I mean you can hardly find a Chinese made electronic, or shoe, or piece of apparel, or machine tool, or paper product, or well just about any product in American stores. It seems we have been very unfair to the Chinese.

Charlotte Observer 07/29/2008 Trade talks failure deals blow to global economy
Trade policy and particularly free trade has been in name only for some time now. While the US has allowed just about anybody to sell products on our shores other countries and in particular China, has refused to abide by any portion of laws.
As a result China recognizes no patents, it counterfeits products on an enormous scale while others look the other way. I wonder $$$$$$$$ why.
I am however glad to see that our trade policy is changing.
