Greetings from Somers

There have been some big events this past week. The first is that Anne's brother left the states today from Mississippi where he has been in training with his unit for Afghanistan. His tour of duty is supposed to be one year. We spoke to him on his way as he was in Bangor Maine. Had we known he was flying through Bangor we would have gotten in the car and drove up to see him off. Godspeed Bob!

We have been on vacation for the last week from school. Instead we have been focusing on applicatioins, lesson plans, school, getting re-organized, and catching up. No rest for the wicked they say. Anne is down today speed interviewing at Colubia for Principal positions. Anyone with a brain would go after her to lead a school. LilDrew and big Drew are very proud of all the hard work and effort she has been putting forth this year to get where she wants to be in life.

It has been warm here in the 40's during the day but by Sunday we will be back in the teens for a while. I am taking a Spanish course as part of my requirement for State of New York.

I joined a new gym two weeks ago and I really like the place. They gave me a discount for being a teacher. Woohoo! Hope everyone is well.
